Thank you for reading todays blog about Jersey Shore Wedding Photographer, The Paetzold Wedding!

Being a Jersey Shore wedding photographer I have attended hundreds of weddings over the years.  Few had the energy and spirit the Paetzold wedding did!  I first met Jeff and Paige for our initial consult which included both beers and coffee, an excellent combination. I knew right away that this was a couple I not only wanted to work with, but wanted to become friends with.  Paige’s sense of humor, relatability, and bubbly personality won me over right away.

Their wedding day started with being surrounded by friends and family while getting ready.  The girls all wore a beautiful shade of blue and the bride wore a simple, flowing, light weight gown with ruching detail.  The bright and vibrant florals were the perfect compliment to this beach wedding.

After the couple had their first look we took a ride to some of my favorite spots on Long Beach Island for portraits.  The couple then said “I do” on the beach with the sand between their toes.  The celebration then moved to the Stateroom where the couple and their friends and family drank and danced the night away!

Thank you for reading todays blog about Bonnet Island Wedding Photographer – The Corbin Wedding!

Samantha and Adam had a perfect September wedding and I am so grateful I was able to be their Bonnet Island Estate Wedding Photographer.  I met this amazing couple by chance one evening at sunset and the rest as they say, is history!  Their wedding day was stunning.  The skies were blue with perfect clouds and the weather was great.  Reynolds Floral market provided stunning flowers in shades of white, creams and pink mixed with fresh greenery.   Samantha wore a stunning lace gown with a cathedral length veil and her girls looked beautiful in the perfect shade of wine. The men wore navy blue suits and the entire day was perfection.

The couple promised forever in front of their loved ones in the Bonnet Island Estate private chapel – the boat house.  When the ceremony was complete guests made their way to cocktail hour to sip on signature drinks and decadent food.  The party moved indoors where the couple and their guests danced the night away to a live band.  The evening ended with a special touch from Merri Makers caterers as the building flooded with the smell of perfectly baked fresh chocolate chip cookies.  Guests enjoyed an array of freshly baked goods and freshly brewed gourmet coffee as the night came to a close.

Mr & Mrs Corbin – your love for one another is so genuine, I look forward to seeing it grow and expand in ways you never expected over the years to come!

Hello! Thank you for stopping by!

Fall is just around the corner and this weekends weddings at the Stateroom and the Gables felt like full summer!  I love documenting weddings for a living but Fall weddings are always my favorite and I am excited for what the rest of my 2017 season has to bring!

A few months back I teamed up with Shore Perfect Farms in Barnegat to rent space to grow a sunflower field to use for my photo sessions.  I did the research, endless hours of it in fact. We spread the soil, about 25 tons in just one weekend. I ordered a wide range of seeds, the best I could find on the web.  We installed sprinklers and experimented with watering more and less over 90 days. I planted three times the amount of wildflowers suggested.

And what happened?

Not much.

There was definitely some blooms and growth but not nearly the 1500+ seeds I planted.

At first I was slightly embarrassed.  I spoke to soon,  I advertised something I can’t deliver.  I then moved to frustration.  Dylan and I put a lot of work into the field and it yielded little results.  I then realized this is a learning experience and it’s something I can grow from, pun definitely intended.

I realized it was something we genuinely enjoyed doing.  I seriously loved my time at the farm.  I would feed the horses and bring Tucker almost daily. Duane and I had many chats while hanging out with goats. It was quiet.  It was beautiful.  It was peaceful.  It was not a failure.

It didn’t yield the results I wanted, but it made me want to learn more and want to do better next year. I genuinely feel I was as prepared as I possibly could have been. But there is a lesson in this and I look forward to learning the what and why of it all and learning to grow, pun definitely intended again.

Here is a photo of Dylan and I from a few years ago, not in my sunflower field lol!

Hello!  I am so excited to release all the details of this years Christmas mini sessions!  Every year I host Christmas mini sessions at the amazing KC Creations grounds in West Creek!  They are so kind to welcome us year after year.  Please make sure you follow them on facebook and stop in the beautiful shop! I have big decorating plans coming up and can’t wait to get in there myself this fall!

This year in place of having many set ups I will have one large set up of an antique truck!  The grounds have many other spots for us to use for variety.  This blog post will be long but please read all of it BEFORE BOOKING, it will answer all the questions you may have!

The details:

When:  Saturday October 7, 2017.  Rain date is Sunday October 8, 2017.  I will call the rain date by 9pm on Friday and announce it on the LeAnna Theresa Photography facebook page.  If there is a change overnight (there was last year!)  I will announce it on social media first thing in the morning.  I can not stress this next part enough:  There are absolutely no refunds if you can not make either date. I usually have a wait list of people trying to get into these sessions.  If you can’t make it and a wait list person can – I will happily refund you!  If you can not make both dates do not book a session! I am unable to refund due to illness but you are welcome to gift your session to a friend but please let me know if you do so.

Where:  Kc Creations 424 Main St, West Creek, NJ 08092.  You will see a large red barn that is also a shop in the back. Park there and check out the store!   You will see me and my set up in the field to the left.

How: Once this blog is posted you can email me directly at leanna@leannatheresa.com to book your slot. Please title your email “Christmas mini AM or PM” and choose if you would prefer a morning or afternoon session.  In the email please list the names and ages of people attending and any details you think I should have or special requests.  Sessions are for up to 5 people and you may bring leashed pets.   Sessions will be booked based on the order in which emails came in.  You will get your time slot and return email by Tuesday. It will have more details, your invoice and exact time included.  I will do my very best to accommodate time requests.

Payment and Images:  A mini session is $150 for up to five people and 20 minutes long.  If you are late that time will come out of your session.  On mini session days all the families are booked back to back so there is no room for error and times can not be changed.  Please arrive 10 minutes early. Your invoice must be paid in 5 days to reserve your slot.  There are a limited number of spots – 20 to be exact! If you don’t make the first 20 I will place you on a wait list and contact you immediately if people do not pay and cancel.   Your images will be delivered within 3 weeks and there will be at least 20 edited images in your gallery.  You can download and print the images as you please.  If you want Christmas cards made I suggest Simple Statements or Lace and Bell Designs, they do beautiful work!

Colors and Ideas:  You do not have to do Christmas theme images.  There is lots of greenery and fences and other areas we can use.  This year our main feature is a dark, forest green vintage truck that will have shades of grays and creams/whites in the bed with blankets and pillows. There won’t be much overwhelming Christmas this year with reds and stockings, I wanted to let the truck be the main feature!

This is not the exact truck but I wanted you to have some idea of what is to come!

I can’t wait to see all of you this year!
