Barnegat Light Engagement Session | Amanda and Justin
This Barnegat Light engagement session came to be very last minute. Amanda and Justin had come to LBI for the weekend from NY and had a session scheduled with another photographer. Unfortunately their photographer was not able to make the session. Amanda started calling everyone she found on google and I was one of those lucky calls. I happened to be free, timing worked out and mother nature provided us with STUNNING light. I was so pleased with how this session turned out. Amanda was so sweet and Justin was happy to make her happy (smart man!). We talked about everything from running to her amazing career to local eats like Old Causeway and Mud City. We spent the evening walking around the lighthouse and then heading over to a few other spots I like to use occasionally. I would say I was absolutely pleased with how our last minute session turned out!
If you are considering an engagement session with me, wonderful! Although this session turned out fine keep in mind I normally like to get a feel for what my clients like and what their expectations are before going into a session. Some of the questions I may ask you are:
- Describe how you met?
- Where did you get engaged?
- What do you like to do together?
- Describe your wedding plans to me.
- Do you have an engagement session pinterest board?
Gathering this information helps me provide you with images that speak to your style more. While the main reason you should hire a photographer is because you love their style a professional will talk to you about your desires and expectations. I like to know how your house is decorated and what your wedding colors are. This helps me create images that will “go with the flow” in your home and images you will be more likely to display. It is my job to not only capture images, my job is to also tell your story!
